Time to transplant these
BLACK CHERRY TOMATO which is always a very satisfying job. You can tell when its the right time to do this when you see the true leaves appear which is normally around 10-14 days and they are standing at about three to four inches tall.

The best way I found to transplant them is to find a pot that is double in size of its original and fill it with a mix of organic
seed raising soil and
vermiculite. Water seedlings before transplanting as this helps the dirt stick to the roots and prevents them from drying out.

Ready to transplant |
Choose your strongest plants and cut the rest to soil level, I find doing this doesn't disrupt their root system as much. Carefully remove the tomato with a seedling remover and holding onto the leaves, don't hold the stem as it may break, a leaf will grow back. Replant in your new roomier pots and set the plants down deeper than they were before, I bury them right up to there lower leaves which helps with stabilisation. Water in gently and fertilise once a week.
